Welcome to HAYMAN-WOODWARD! We are pleased to accompany you throughout your immigration journey, assisting you at every stage of the process and ensuring everything is handled clearly, organizedly, and efficiently.

To get started, you will soon receive your portal access credentials and instructions regarding the documentation required for your case.

Throughout this process, all communication regarding your case should be made exclusively through the Paralegal Department's email address: paralegal@hw.law. This is our team's official communication channel. All messages sent to this address are monitored and internally assigned to the professionals responsible for your case, ensuring greater organization, continuity, and efficiency in our service.

We look forward to hearing from you and remain at your disposal should you have any questions or need further assistance.

What you will receive

Together with this manual, you receive an email containing two things. Keep them at hand — you'll use them in the next section.

Your email address
The same address where you received our welcome email.
Your Password
A temporary password
You will replace it with your own password the first time you log in.

Five steps to get started

Follow the steps in order and tick each one off as you go. Each step tells you what you'll see on screen, so you always know you're on the right track.

Open the portal

Go to haymanwoodward.smartlawhub.com — on your computer, tablet, or phone. Bookmark it: you'll use it throughout your case.

You'll see: the portal login screen with two empty fields.

Enter your username and temporary password

Username = your email address. Password = the temporary password from our email. Copy it carefully — no extra spaces before or after.

You'll see: a prompt asking you to create a new password.

Create your own password

Choose a password only you know and save it somewhere safe. The temporary password stops working after this step.

You'll see: a confirmation, then your portal home page.

Review your document checklist

Your home page lists every document we need from you, each with a status and an action button. The next section explains exactly how to read this screen.

Upload your first documents

Click Upload next to any item and add the file. Start with what you already have — passport, diplomas, certificates. PDF is preferred; clear phone photos are also fine.

You'll see: your file listed after upload — that means we received it.

How to read your checklist

"To be completed" = your turn

Every item with this status is waiting for an action from you — either uploading a document or filling in a form.

Upload button = send us a file

Click it, choose the file from your device, done. When your file appears in the list, we have received it.

Review button = fill in online

Some items are smart worksheets you complete directly in the portal instead of uploading a file. Click Review to open and answer them.

Completed = nothing more to do

Once our team checks an item, it moves here with the status "Reviewed." You never need to touch these again.

Good to know: you don't need everything at once. Upload what you have today — the checklist saves your progress, and our team will guide you on missing items through paralegal@hw.law.

Before you ask — check here
Check your spam or junk folder — search for "HAYMAN-WOODWARD." If it's not there, email paralegal@hw.law and we'll resend it right away.
Most often an extra space was copied before or after the password — try typing it manually. Still stuck? Use "Forgot password" on the login screen, or email paralegal@hw.law.
Click "Forgot password" on the login page and follow the email instructions. You can reset it yourself anytime — no need to contact us.
Start with what you already have: passport, diplomas, transcripts, certificates, licenses. You don't need everything before logging in — upload what you have and our team will guide you on the rest.
Yes. The portal works in any phone browser, and you can upload photos of documents directly from your camera roll — just make sure the whole page is visible and readable.
If the file appears in your list after uploading, we have it. When our team checks it, the status changes to Reviewed and the item moves to your Completed section.
All communication goes through paralegal@hw.law. This ensures your message is recorded and routed to the right professional — including the attorney whenever needed.
